So today my daughter phoned from Uni….

She started to talk about organising a holiday!!! She wants to organise one for my husband who has PC and is 50 next year, I’m going to be 45 she is going to be 21 and my other daughter 16…

i just did not know what to say… it actually broke my heart….

it’s the uncertainty of it all… Chemo is not stinking it at the moment and we start chemo and radiotherapy next week.

Just needed somewhere to talk about grubs as did Not want to upset my husband.

thanks

    Hi Chrissie

It sounds like you've got a lot going on at the moment and probably, like me when I was going through treatment, you just want to concentrate on getting this completed before thinking further ahead.

I'm sure your daughter has the best of intentions as she'll probably be thinking that it would give you all something to look forward to. One thing to bear in mind though, is that it can be a lot harder to get travel insurance when you've had a cancer diagnosis. When you feel ready for a holiday, you might like to join us over in the travel insurance group where you'll find recommendations for reasonably priced travel insurance.

To join just click on the link I've created which will take you there. Once you've joined, look for the thread called 'recommended travel insurance' as that's where the majority of recommendations are.

I can see that you're a member of the carers only group and I'm sure if you posted how you felt in a post there you'd get lots of support from fellow carers.

It would be great if you could pop something about your husband's diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
