Hi there. I am 63, since January 2022 I have had a Pancreas problem. In hospital with Pancreatitis first. The results of a scan showed a shadoe. When they dove in to see, they took most of my Pancreas away. There was a tumour and some cancerous lymph nodes. A second scan found they had spread to my chest, not my lungs. I started 18 weeks of chemo. I have got to number 6 now. My hair has fell out but my long beard is still hanging in there.
I have come here to gather information.
Thanks
Hi AbelMagwitch and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I have a different type of cancer but I'm also undergoing chemotherapy. I've also lost all my hair but have a nice wig and a selection of head coverings to choose from. Being a girlie I don't have a beard to worry about!
I'm sure the other members of the group will be pleased to share their experiences with you when you need more information.
When you're ready it would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
