Dad diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer which has spread and aggressive and receiving palliative care at home which has been helpful.  Developed cellulitis in legs and bloods sent away tonight to check for sepsis.  Feel like I am on a rollercoaster right now and mind on overdrive!

  • Hi and a warm welcome to the online community

I'm very sorry to read that your dad has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and I can't begin to imagine how you must be feeling right now.

I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you might like to join the supporting someone with incurable cancer group which is a safe and supportive place for friends and families of people with a terminal diagnosis to discuss their emotions as well as practical issues such as palliative care.

If this is something that you'd like to do then clicking on the link I've created will take you straight there where you can join and post in the same way as you did here. You can also join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could pop something about your dad's diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
