I was wondering if anyone knows how long it takes for a palliative care referral to come into action. Partner has spoken to gp this morning and she will give a  referral and chase up partners date for scan. He is eating next to nothing, he can't carry on like this

    I am sorry to hear your partner is not eating and I know you will be very worried. I don’t know the answer to your question as I suspect it depends on the sort of care offered and where you are in the country. I think it would be reasonable to give the surgery a ring and ask the  receptionist if she could find out the answer to your question.
