Ovarian cancer

Hi everyone .

I'm new on here and was diagnosed with stage 4 aggressive ovarian cancer 3 years ago. The cancer had already spread to several other areas, which was such a shock, to say the least. I was a carer for my beautiful husband of 46 years, who sadly had Alzheimers and I just knew that I had to fight so that I could live long enough to be here for him. Sadly he died in March this year and I am completely heartbroken. He was my life, my everything. I cry every day for him but know that he would want me to keep on fighting, which I want to do...for him and myself.

I do have a question and wondered if anyone could possibly help. I was wondering if I could take collagen whilst having ovarian cancer? I've been told various things and am still not sure whether it's a good thing to do, or not. My frazzled brain isn't working so well these days!

Take care everyone x

  • Have just been reading up on it , seems not advised as can interfere with treatment.   Suggestion is to just increase collagen forming foods.  My personal advice is to ask your consultant.    Take care and good luck.    Pat

  • Thank you Pat. I really appreciate you getting back to me. I totally agree with what you say and when I next see my Oncologist I will mention it to her. Take care.
