Hi. I’m new to this forum. F58. Just diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Had a blood test for high CA125 a month ago and then a CT scan which showed a cyst on the ovary as well as liver markers. Managing pain at the moment and now waiting for a biopsy. In limbo at the moment.

  • Hi, I’m sorry you find yourself here. Being in limbo is the worst , such a lot to process. I’m 2 and half years into ovarian cancer , hang on in there, you don’t know for sure yet it’s cancer and if it is there will be treatment for sure. Easy to say but try to stay in the present and if your searching on the internet stick to charity specialist sites such as Ovacome or Target Ovarian Cancer. Be kind to yourself.

  • Hi, Thank u for your encouragement.I am so overwhelmed with all of this never been ill all my life! diagnosed with ovarian cancer and not knowing how far it’s spread .I am taking one day at  time & being positive. Xx

  • One day at a time is the way to go. It is very overwhelming when you don’t know exactly what you’re dealing with . I remember only too well when first diagnosed I was terrified to think about the future. There are so many treatments for OC, there is hope. You will find strength you never knew you had. I live with advanced cancer and have a very good quality of life. Once you know exactly what you’re dealing with and a treatment plan strangely it  does get a bit easier.

  • Thanks just found out have suspicions lymph nodes under my arm pit felt my body is just falling apart. I have just have no ideas what the treatment they will start off with me now. Xx
