Hey there, I'm new here...

I'm quite shocked to be here cus you never think this is going to happen to you do you? I was recently rushed into hospital a few weeks ago with a bad stomach, I had an urgent CT scan done and I had colitis... But they actually accidentally found a whole lot more than that.. I have a 7.5cm right adnexal mass on my ovary.. another cyst on my left ovary, my left ovary is also twisted, I have a cyst in my uterus, there is widespread peritoneal nodudarity.. and I have free fluid in my pelvis and my stomach..

I have been put on an urgent two week pathway.

I had a biopsy on my stomach lining last week but they didn't bother doing it from my ovaries because they don't want to spread anything.

I get all of my results next Wednesday and I have oncology clinic next Thursday.

But tbh I don't think there's much doubt. I don't mean to be persermistic.. however none of this is looking good..

Trying to keep a smile on my face and stay strong, for my husband and children... But this is bloody hard. Honestly it's knocked me for six!

Anyway, thanks for listening..

  • Nicky,   Hang in there untl next Thursday, they are treating you quickly which is the most important thing.  I have stage 4 ovarian cancer and like you shocked at the diagnosis, but even my stage 4 tho not curable is treatable and the drugs etc that are available now are really good and tailored to the type of cancer.  Trust in your oncologist and ask lots of questions, I found it got easier with knowing what to expect.     Good luck on Thursday will be thinking of you.  Pat  x
