  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community and, although I'm not a member of this group, I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list again.

While you're waiting for replies, it would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

I'm glad to read how fit and well you feel but it's natural to have the occasional emotional day.

    ((hugs))

  • Hello Marigold - I am sorry you've had to join this group.  But very glad you have joined the online community.  When I was first diagnosed with mucinous OC (March 2023), I find the help and support here to be absolutely invaluable.   It is quite the journey and you're right, I think we do all know.   I have read a bit about your story so far and I will keep my fingers crossed for your oncology appt but it sounds really positive (if that is a word we can use with cancer....), that you were stage 1.   I found, for me, that just keeping in the here and now, was the best strategy I had to keep my mind from racing ahead with worrying thoughts.  I would say to myself - stop thinking future and think present, every single time I found my mind racing.  Look after yourself, stay in the present and keep distracted.

    • Thank you, your reply is amazing, I find the posts and replies on here make my day! They are so positive and uplifting. They make a bad day bearable.Heart
