Hi I am new here

Hi , I know it’s so hard waiting for results and treatment. I m waiting for specialist appointment for ovarian cancer and treatment plan. It’s the biggest psychological roller coaster ever. I’m trying to take one day at a time, focus on the here and now, and use this chat to hear from others in similar situations helps to feel less alone. Be as kind to yourself as you can, try not to goggle , feel what you need to feel, and then dig deep and think about what’s going well. Hope your results and treatment plan can be chased up and in place soon , take care 

I feel for you, that's the exact same position I found myself in before Christmas. I found that my insistence on knowing things paid off, I pushed for updates on the day of the MDT meetings held about each case.  Don't be afraid to find out exactly what is going on. You'll feel more in control. Insist on calls back and call them if they dont. 

Your situation is very similar to mine, if the neck biopsy is positive for cancer then they will likely start chemo first but ofcourse thats not a given. Im going down to my local cancer walk in centre today. They offer things like massage so im doing all I can to try and make my journey as good as it can be.

Hi there, thanks for your support. I am usually quite pragmatic and easy going. This has Definately been the most stressful emotional rollercoaster ride for me. 
I managed to keep busy at the start getting things done at home that I had been putting off. 
I think I will be fine once I have a plan of what’s ahead of me. I am sorry that you are still waiting to see a specialist. I hope you don’t have to wait too long. Keep in touch and take care xx

Hi there, thanks for your support. I am quite pushy myself . I have been chasing each thing up along the way. 
when I had my first meeting with Dr after their MDT meeting I was given an outline of plan . I am the kind of person that needs facts and asked for notes of discussion at appointment be sent to me. 
I just struggle with the not knowing and waiting. I rang the oncology nurse this morning . She said that I was on the MDT list last Wednesday but no results back yet from biopsy. She checked while I was on the phone and still nothing back. 
the nurse said I was on MDT meeting this Wednesday and they would call me that afternoon. So fingers crossed.. Enjoy your afternoon at the drop in centre. Hope all goes well and keep in touch xx
