Hi all,
Im confued, numb, angry and i not sure what to say.
I went on the holiday of a lifetime. 2 days in I was in hospital with severe stomach pain. After blood tests. Ultrasounds external and internal, a CT scan etc. I was toldvinhad fluid on the right and a mass on my left pelvis area. As my liver was normal the only other diagnosis was ovarian cancer. I was advised to see a Gynaecologist who did a CA125 test which came back with raised levels. She told me to return tonthe UK straight away and see a doctor. I returned on Friday and have been to A &E. They did all the preliminary tests and confirmed what the Gynaecologist said. I went to my GP this morning who has now referred me to a cancer clinic. I should hear in 2 weeks. Upntill now I've been calm, been supported but now what? What comes next? Can someone advise me please. Thank you.
Hello - I am, so sorry about what you are going through at the moment. I cannot imagine the shock of it all - especially being away on holiday. I think Noggins is so right - the waiting is the hardest but essential part of all of this. The positive thing is - there are a host of experts in their field waiting to support you and help you navigate - whatever this may be. Its a horrid couple of weeks wait but once you've had the scan - they will be able to see what it is they are dealing with.
