I am sorry to see that your best friend has had a diagnosis of ovarian cancer and I know that there are many lovely ladies on here who will want to offer support.
I am sorry to see that your Dad has prostate cancer that is at an advanced stage. It must be a real worry for you.
Having 6 members of your close family being affected by cancer since you were 14 is hard to deal with and it is understandable that it is a trigger for you. Having anyone close to you facing cancer is naturally a hard time. There is no right or wrong way to feel about it and the only thing that I have found helps is to go with the flow, expect some bad days and to reach out for support when you need it. It is good that you have found yoga and meditation a help.
The online community is divided into forums of cancer types and cancer experiences. There is a forum that I recommend you having a look at as it is specifically for family and friends. Maybe sharing with people in the same position as you may be of support. I will pop a link here in case you are interested.
