I had my first session of chemo today, with acool cap. I found my “hard” in-ear earphones uncomfortable after some time and wondered if anybody has found a comfortable solution to wearing earphones with a cool cap?
As expected I couldn’t wear my glasses so reading was out of the question. Discussing this with my daughter we think we have the solution i.e. buying a cheap pair of over the counter glasses so that it won’t matter stretching the legs over the cap. However just wondering if anybody else has found a solution?
Hello EAH,
I hope that you are feeling ok after your first chemo. I also did cool capping and could not find a solution to ear phones I'm afraid.
However I was in a group on Facebook during my treatment and glasses were discussed. One lady said about using those tiny claw hair clips and tucking the ends under the strings on the cap. She had bought some cheap reading glasses. Might be worth a try

No problems following first chemo, I’m very pleased to say. I will have to look at these claw hairclips! Have however decided to go with cheap over the counter glasses and then the stretching won’t matter, it’s only every 3 weeks I will need them. Might see if they do pince-nez ones then no legs to worry about!
