Had ovaries removed 5 months ago
Hi notremmah and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm not a member of this group but I spotted your post. When you feel ready, it would be great if you would like to share your experiences so far.

I have stage 4 ovarian cancer which I discovered only by chance no symptoms.. I feel devastated by a prognosis of 14 months. I am trying to get used to the idea but am finding it very hard as at present I feel well and have no pain. I am wondering if others in this position have decided on a second opinion despite liking their oncologist and in no way mistrusting her but just wanting a fresh pair of eyes to re examine the data of my case. I would love to hear the views of anyone else in this position.
Hi Hopeful123
I'm sorry to read that you have been diagnosed with ovarian cancer and it's natural to want to do all you can to see what treatments might be available.
I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you join the ovarian cancer group so that you can start your own post. It is more likely to be seen by others in the group that way.
If you'd like to do that, just click on the link I've created and then click 'join' under 'group tools'. Alternatively click on the banner at the bottom of the screen.
To start your own post either click on '+' or '+new' depending on the type of device you're using.
It would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
