Hello, I was diagnosed with Stage 3c Ovarian cancer last October. I have since had 3 chemo sessions followed by debulking surgery and another 3 chemo sessions after surgery. I was put on Niraparib in July of this year, since then, blood tests have shown that my CA125 levels have gone up from around 35 to most recently 63. I am anxious about the rise in the CA125, and my consultant is also worried about this. I have been booked in to have a scan in a couple of weeks.
Has anyone else experienced a rise in CA125 levels whilst on Niraparib? I have read online that some people experience fluctuating CA125 levels during Niraparib treatment.
Hi Jessie53 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
As I don't have the same type of cancer as you I don't have the experience you're looking for but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet.
I've done a search in the group for others who are on niraparib and found these previous posts for you to have a look through. You could reply to any of the more recent ones if you think the poster might be able to help you further.
Do come back and let everyone know how your scan goes.
