Hello

All came a little out of the blue, had a tender abdomen in April and blood tests showed raised level of CA125. I was referred to Gyno and on their 6 month waiting list.
6 weeks later, I’d gone up three trouser sizes and was so uncomfortable, went back to the doctors who confirmed they could feel something and sent me for bloods again which showed a raise in CA125 again. Then I was put on an urgent referral to be seen in two weeks.  Everything has just been full steam since then!

I’ve had a football sized cyst (which weighed over a stone!!!) and a smaller one removed as well as a full abdominal hysterectomy.

I’ve since found out that they were tumours and I am starting chemo next week, feeling a little anxious!

  • Hi

like you my diagnosis came out of the blue. My cancer diagnosis was confirmed 4 days ago and i am still reeling with the shock . I go from positive to a big mess. Waiting to hear from the consultant today with a plan . Chemo or surgery first. I am struggling with the bloating and feeling so full. Not sleeping and feeling exhausted.  My cyst  is about the size of a tennis ball . You must be in such discomfort with a cyst that size .

Like you i am really anxious about the chemo and its side effects .  Wish you all the very best and hope it all goes ok. Take care

  • Hi

did you get given your plan today?

im so glad I’ve had my op, I really couldn’t have carried on. your symptoms sound so familiar to me.

i, like you, go from being ok to panic, but in secret, I don’t like to show how scared I am in front of my husband and children.

wishing you all the best x
