Hello, I’m 25 years old and struggling with my mental health since having my cancer treatment. I had a large ovarian mass on my left ovary which was removed during surgery in May 2022 however they told me the mass had leaked. After the mass went for biopsy I was told they found cancerous and pre cancerous cells in the mass, the swabs from the leakage came back fine but I’m having a course of chemotherapy to ensure I don’t have any cancer cells leftover in my body. Since finding this out I’ve had fertility treatment and frozen my eggs from the right ovary I have left. I started chemotherapy in July 2022, I had my second round last week. To protect my remaining ovary whilst I have chemo I have Zoladex injections which slows my remaining ovary down. As a result of this I’m having menopausal-like symptoms such as hot flushes and anxiety. I’m also shielding myself as best as I can now I'm having treatment and my immunity is lower but, I see all my friends and family going out on holidays enjoying themselves. Im happy they are happy but in all honesty I feel sad I’m missing out and feel lonely at times.
Any advice is appreciated!
Thank you so much for reading.
All the best,

Hi RubyRoo and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm not a member of this group but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list where it'll be more easily seen.
While you're waiting for replies it would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
