many thanks polly xx
Hi Polly,
Welcome to the site, and hope you’ll get some good hints and tips here for your upcoming op.
I had my radical hysterectomy in December 2020. It is a big op, but the pain management is amazing, so you shouldn’t worry about that. The op itself, and also the recovery period, are tough on your body, so the better you’re able to prepare for this (try to eat healthily, sleep well, and get a bit of exercise when you can), the sooner you’ll bounce back.
In terms of what to take into hospital with you, I found an extra long phone charging lead and big knickers (one size up and high waisted) to be my best buys.
All the best for your surgery and, as Foxygirl said, hope you get a date soon as the waiting is tough,
love Bx
Hi Foxygirl,

love Bx
