Hi, a friend has a suspected diagnosis of Ovarian cancer. We won’t know definitely for another week but I know absolutely nothing about it other than I am a breast cancer survivor.
I hope I am in a good position to be of support if needed. I want to be prepared for the worst but any advice please on how to initially help her would be appreciated.
Sorry to hear this X the waiting is the absolute worst .there are some very good Ovarian cancer support groups on face book. Ovarian cancer action , ovarian cancer UK , Ovacome ,
love laughter and ovarian cancer
So sorry to hear that. She’s lucky to have you as a friend, the best thing you can do is be there for her, and let her talk - let her know no thing is off limits. She’ll be feeling very fearful - hopefully she’ll get good news, but if not then having a treatment plan will help. As above the forums are good, but keep her off Dr Google! Your experience with cancer makes you a great support.
Wishing you and her all the best x
