Hi

  1. I am new to this group, recently had surgery to have a 15-17cm cyst removed. I had a frozen section done there and then, after surgery I found out I had germ cell cancer. A rare form of cancer. I had never heard of it before and I wondered if anyone else had the same type. I get further results and next steps, next week. Nervous as to what that may entail.
  • Sorry to find yourself here. I can't offer you any answers , but I just wanted to welcome you to the group, everyone is very friendly and supportive.

  • Thank you, that is really kind x

  • hello! me too, my diagnosis was a stage 4 disgerminomas germ cell tumour. mine was a solid tumour however, not sure if it requires the same treatment as a cyst? i had 4 rounds of intensive  chemo and am having an mri later this month to see how it’s improved! feeling very hopefully as my tumour was found at 19 x 17cm a very big boy and after 2 rounds my scan showed it has shrunk miraculously to just 4x5 cm!! if that’s not a reason to keep hope i don’t know what is ;)
