I'm awaiting result of biopsies taken from surgery 13th November. I had laproscopic hysterectomy to start with as planned which then was abdominal because the surgeon found the growth was larger than expected and he described it as 'complex' and 'borderline'. CA125 tests had been very low over the last three years. I had been treated only for endometrial hyperpalsia - hysteroscopies and a progesterone coil.
I'm posting here in case anyone has had a similar experience. My view is that the growth was secreting oestrogen which caused the abnormal post-menopausal bleeding. I'm not going to know if the growth was benign, malignant etc until I get the results. I'm recovering quite well now but haven't been able to be anywhere near as active as most people seem to have been in the earlier days.
I made a formal complaint about the consultants' failure to monitor an 'ovarian cyst' that was first seen on a scan over three years ago which was dismissed. Awaiting the result of that aswell.

I'm sorry to read what a difficult experience you've had and I hope everything now gets resolved to your satisfaction.
Thanks Anne. Last night I phoned the helpline and spoke with a nurse which helped clarify things a lot. I'm interested to learn about others experiences and put the word out about these sort of ovarian issues.
