Hi Everyone!
First of all thank you for your amazing stories and replies on my threads, you sure are a courageous and wonderful bunch.
Not sure if this is a stupid question but is it a question of the more the symptoms the worse the cancer. I just feel a lot of pelvic pain and I’m gassy, bloated etc. I have a date for surgery, 4th Dec, less than two weeks and less than two months into the referral for Drs. They think it’s 3 (it was seen in peritoneum and omentum) but I’m petrified it’s everywhere. I feel discomfort every day but then again is it because tumour is huge? I’m going MAD
I was looking to see if anyone had posted something that highlighted the awful symptoms they were experiencing. I have felt sick, bloated and a dull. Early labour pain ache constantly for 10 days. So much so I’ve lived on a diet of boiled eggs as nothing else seems to stay down!
im even getting pain in my left shoulder now which the go might be linked to issues with my diaphragm
i have 9 cysts/rumours that were identified on the Mei, some as large as 7cm.
i did ring the GP to talk about my worsening symptoms and she was going to contact my oncology team.
i hope this doesn’t go on much longer
Hi , it’s so very hard not knowing and wondering about the what ifs , I think symptoms really do vary and I’m not too sure more symptoms necessarily mean further spread. It’s not unusual to have chemo before surgery if it’s thought large tumours need treatment to shrink them first. I see your having surgery so sounds like your team are hopeful that all the visible cancer can be removed without the need for chemotherapy first. I completed first line treatment in September, chemo , surgery, chemo. I’m on maintenance treatment now and doing really well. Best wishes for your surgery and once you know exactly what you’re dealing with it does get easier. Take care. X
