Hi,

I was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer 5 days ago. It was a shock. I thought I was coping ok with it. I now have crushing anxiety which has just started and it’s overwhelming my every thought. Anyone else feel like this?

  • Hi merry

you will probably go through a whole rollercoaster of emotions and anxiety it’s normal, you will cry one day and the next feel like you’re coping this is all normal

when you are first diagnosed and you have blood tests and scans biopsies and possibly more investigation the waiting for the results seems forever, most of us on here have been there and there are lots just like you at the start of this horrible journey, you can ask ask many questions on here as you like someone will answer you

if you click on my name it will take you to my story

    dont be hard on yourself

    take care

  • Hi Pam, Thank you so much for your reply. It’s good to find people who have been through it. I have been referred to a specialist hospital and have my appt now this Thursday. I had surgery 5 weeks ago, ovaries and fallopian tubes removed and the histology report back from this gave an unexpected ovarian cancer diagnosis. I have tried to click on your name Noggins to read your story but nothing is happening. I’m new to the forum so maybe I’m doing something wrong.
    Thanks again.

  • Hello Merry, I just wanted to let you know I definitely understand the crushing anxiety of waiting for results. I’m sorry to hear about your diagnosis and sending you hugs.

  • Thank you NatureLover. It’s good to know I’m not alone.

  • Merry I don’t know what happened to my biography that I originally wrote

I have done another brief one if you’d like to read it,

  • Hi Pam, thank you. I have read your story. You are a real trooper. You have been through the mill. You have fought a very tough fight.  I am at the beginning of mine.  It is frightening but I have no option unfortunately.  xx

  • That’s why I did the little biography for ladies that are struggling can see sometimes there is a little light although I’m still fighting the fight but here all the same,

many questions I’m happy to answer if I can or guide if I cant
