(Sorry I had to log in again)
I’m so sorry to hear your concerns- it’s always so worrying to hear the word ‘abnormal’. It’s good that they’ve brought your appointment forward so you’ll soon find out what’s going on, especially as you know things don’t feel right. My CA125 came back massively high, over 2000, so they knew it was ovarian cancer when the scan showed a large cyst on each ovary. I know it’s going to be a difficult wait until the appointment. Maybe you could call a nurse on this Macmillan site- they might be able to suggest what you might be told. Wishing you all the best and let us know how you get on x
Thank you so much for your reply it means a lot. I felt reassured that my CA125 came back normal, but I’ve been listening to Podcasts where sone ladies that had been diagnosed had normal CA125. I’m hoping for the best on Tuesday. Are you having treatment? How are you getting on xxx
Hopefully having some time away will give you some distraction. Well I was told I have high calprotectin which indicates inflammation on my bowel, but also my cyst is ‘suspicious’ I since had another scan on Saturday and it’s doubled in size in 2 weeks so my doctor has said he is calling gynaecology and he will ring me in a day or so but I’m really struggling with the bloating and pain. I looked at the ultrasound Saturday (I went private) she said it is septated, from what it looked like it had a line through it but she said I have ‘age’ on my side and if I was her daughter, she wouldn’t be losing sleep. Really hate it when they use age to patronise you, however I had an app with my GP Monday morning and I gave him those results and he said it’s worrying as it’s doubled in such a short time and is now over 5cm. I’m just feeling really rubbish, losing weight everywhere except round the tummy! I’m having to unbottom my trousers!!!
has there been an update with you? It’s awful that we have to push doctors to get to the bottom of it, I just feel like I’m being a nuisance xxx
