Hi all
So mum was diagnosed with ovarian cancer stage 3B.
she’s had 3 rounds of chemo, her scan and the cancer has reduced by nearly half. They’ve suggested debulking surgery.
mum has never been particularly keen on surgery, and is steering towards not having it. Her oncologist has said her prognosis is about 2 years without surgery. Difficult to determine prognosis with it because it depends on how much they manage to remove etc. she could also end up with a stoma, because the cancer has spread to her bowel.
is there anyone here who has just gone with chemotherapy as a treatment option and not had debulking surgery? I’d love to know your views.
