Anxiety

Hi all! I'm a bit of an imposter here but was wondering what other people's experiences were.

Bit of backstory I had a 20cm borderline ovarian tumour removed in 2024 and now have endometrial hyperplasia with atypia. I have ultrasounds and a uterine biopsy every 6 months but am currently a little behind schedule. I also take progesterone tablets so I don't bleed at all and this has helped my hyperplasia.

I've had some new symptoms and I'm really spiralling. It started off as really sharp horrible debilitating pain in my lower right stomach. It doubles me over and I can't do anything but cry but it only lasts 5-10mins. Started off once every couple weeks now it happens once or twice a week. Recently I've also noticed more of a tender dull constant pain. I feel heaviness in my lower stomach, bloating, reduced appetite, nausea, and increased acid reflux. I've been on Omeprazole for years which manages it really well and I never feel it anymore but the past 2 weeks I definitely have reflux daily now. My bowel habits have changed too. I became very constipated but now it goes from constipated to urgent a lot.

All I can think is there's a tumour on my ovary and it's pressing on my stomach. I'm currently waiting for my ultrasound appointment which is in about a week. I can't sleep, it interferes with my job both the pain and lack of sleep and anxiety. I'm just really struggling. I think I have extra anxiety after my auntie passed away from bowel cancer and that definitely plays on my mind too.

Has anyone had any similar experiences? Positive or negative.

  • Hi Moonut56,

I saw you had an unanswered post and couldn't leave you hanging.

    I see you.

I was on Omeprazol for years then Lansoprazole.

I've never had a GP take me seriously or a scan or test in 30 years.

Hopefully you will get the care you deserve X
