Stage 4 HGSOC.
Any one here had lymph nodes removed safely from all the following areas during debulking surgery or did chemo manage to get rid if it from these areas -
Pelvic sidewalls (both sides)
→ Lymph nodes in the lower pelvis, near where the ovaries and uterus sit.
Left mesorectal fat
→ Tissue around the rectum (toward the back of the pelvis).
Along the left common iliac vessels
→ Nodes running along a major blood vessel that drains the pelvis.
Para-aortic region (below the renal vessels)
→ Higher up in the abdomen, near the main artery (aorta), just below the kidneys.
Hi Prawne
Although I’ve had major gynaecological surgery to remove my whole reproductive system and more, which included lymph node removal, I can’t comment on the specific nodes you are asking about. However, I noticed you hadn’t had a reply yet, so my response will give your post a little nudge.
While you are waiting for others to reply, you might find it helpful to speak to one of our nurses about this and the link to ask a question is here
You would also be welcome to call the support line (the number is in my signature) to chat with a nurse directly.
