Heyy guys,
So I'm 27 (28 this year) and I have Stage 4 Serous Carcinoma Ovarian Cancer.
On Wednesday I was supposed to have my 2nd round of Carboplatin chemo, but I unfortunately had an allergic reaction where I was throwing up, I had hives and a rash on my arm, my face was all flushed and red and I just couldn't stop shaking! It was absolutely terrifying and kind of traumatic (especially as I already have a HUGE phobia of throwing up)
I had to stay in the hospital for almost 2 days as they wanted to do some blood tests and ECGs and stuff and everything came back fine! They now want to try again with the Chemo on Wednesday but they're gunna give me some antihistamines and more antisickness beforehand this time and they're going to give it to me a bit slower! I'm absolutely terrified now though!! 
My mum says that I can't be anxious or anything as that will change my body and could effect the Chemo, but that's a lot easier said than done like Idk how to not be anxious and nervous after the trauma of last week!! I had 9 rounds of Carboplatin with another chemo (I forgot what it's called) almost 2 years ago now and I also had an allergic reaction on the 2nd round but that time I actually stopped breathing for a couple minutes which was also extremely terrifying and traumatising! They started to give me the antihistamines after that and the rest of the rounds went really well, so I'm really hoping and praying that the rest of the rounds now will also go really well!
I'm still absolutely terrified and nervous about Wednesday though and Idk how to calm myself down or reassure myself etc! Has anyone else experienced allergic reactions to Chemo?? (Especially Carboplatin) Is it common to have a reaction to more than one round or should I be okay now and especially after having antihistamines and more anti-sickness and stuff??
