So disheartened and frustrated

So to cut a long story short, I have virtually every single textbook symptom of ovarian cysts (cancer), and some! At my ultrasound on Sunday I was told after the scan two things:

1. "I could only see one ovary, but surely if there was a cyst we'd be able to see it" (exact words of radiographer).

2. You have fibroids in your uterus (also exact words of the radiographer).

Fast forward to today and I received the report from the ultrasound which stated:

1. Both ovaries seen and look fine. No cysts, fluid, etc.

2. No fibroids and uterus looks fine.

The same Dr who did the scan, wrote the report!? How is it that what she told me and what she reported are the complete opposite of each other?

I have been struggling for 2 years to find a resolution to my pain and symptoms and I am lost as to what to do next - particularly when I chat to my GP who referred me for the scan after my CA125 was elevated.  I am so sad and disheartened and feel that when I fall gravely ill one day they'll say "oh yes, she did have cysts and it's now cancer and there is nothing more we can do".️

Sorry for what is coming across as a severe pity post, I've just hit a brick wall and I'm feeling so lost.

  • Hi

I can see from other posts you've made that you've got a lot going on at the moment, with an appointment to discuss surgery for VIN2 and VIN3 in less than two weeks time. In the meantime, could you speak to your GP to find out what happens next with regard to the unresolved pain and symptoms that you have?
