Maintenance of ovarian cancer

Hello Jaynio60 I hope you’re doing ok with your treatment, I was told from day 1 that I’m TNC this is treatable not curable and it can be very overwhelming but a brilliant nurse explained it like there’s many health issues that are the same for example type 1 diabetes or asthma these conditions are treatable but not curable too! You can read my profile to see my journey so far, I have been on maintenance for over a year now and I’m currently on just a single treatment. The good news is there’s many treatments available today to help maintain and control your cancer for many years and that can give comfort. With regards to feelings please talk to someone with your fears and worries such as your nurses or give the macmillan helpline a call, they are amazing! Also please connect on this forum with brilliant people who can also help alleviate your worries too x 

1. Awww hi hnickkie. Thanks so much for your message. Gives me great hope, I'm on 2 chemotherapy, s , they have just added a targeted therapy along with the chemo. I'm in the side affects of 3rd cycle ght now. Struggling with them tbh.  Today is day 6 and still feeling very weak. But counting days down, till I feel back to normal. Your message has really eased my mind . Thank you so so much . Onwards & upwards .
