My surgery is tomorrow, and as it will also involve my bowels, I’m having to drink MoviPrep today. It’s struggling to get the last bit drunk. I had no idea it would be this bad. It’s like drinking lemon flavoured sea water! You’re meant to drink a litre of it at a time. I’m not even done, and it’s started working. Am I really expected to drink the whole litre? Don’t worry, I will, but this is some kind of new torture!
Hello Lalune I know just where you are at - I had the same issues prior to a Sigmoidoscopy. My "preparation" was 3 litres of a "Mango Flavored Drink". Mango flavoured my backside! (no pun intended). As you say it worked and the trick I was told was to drink it through a straw. I know this advice is too late for you - but it might help others.
Good luck with your surgery tomorrow - I hope all goes well for you.
Best wishes - Brian.

"Alternate with water". You will end up spending the evening and night on the loo!! .
I did ask the staff if they knew how bad it was to drink - their advice "We have had a sip - it's awful!!".
