Hi all

I have recurrence  and I rapidly losing my hair after 1st chemo 

My scalp is quite sore and tender, it has woke me from sleep an odd time, felt like someone was really pulling my hair, has any of you had this ?

I lost my hair after 3rd cycle last time and don't think I had this sore scalp

  • Hi, although I have breast cancer I was a volunteer for look good feel better for over 20 years, and from talking to the amazing ladies I met ,coconut oil used on the scalp helped with soothing the skin and hair growth. Before washing your head gently rub in some coconut oil, leave for 5 mins then wash/shampoo your scalp. Hope it helps. Stay strong

  • Yes mine was like this  you could almost feel it moving within the hair follicles. It did stop once all my hair came out and shaving it off helped too. Massaging my scalp with a bit of moisturiser relived the soreness for a while too.

  • My scalp was very tender and painful so I got hubby to buzz cut the lot off and the relief was instant, although it was very sore when he did it, reducing me (and him) to tears. I wouldn't hesitate to do the same again
