Hi
I don't know who's around but i desperately need to talk ..
I'm in good health and no symptoms at all ... random ultrasound found an ovarian cyst that looked very much benign in shape etc
I've seen the gyne and she wanted it out but initially no rush.
Then i had blood tests and that marker was silly high ... she rang me up and said not to think of the worst but didn't give me anything else to think about as an alternative. What else is it other than something awful?
I have an MRI on saturday (nhs.. saturday .. very urgent)
Then wait for results - if the cyst appears the be the source ( please let it be the source!!!) then i comes out fairly fast. If the cyst looks ok on the MRI then we get more images from CT etc ..
I just know the changes here are pancreas/ lung / ovary and bowel ... or occasionally the cyst makes the markers and there is no cancer.
I'm pretty much non stop crying - i have huge anxiety with people and place and the big girl pants are coming out to play atm.
Does anyone have the same ca issues as me?
How did your MRI go at the weekend?
Please don't read anything in to the fact that you had it on a Saturday. I had an ECG done, before my chemo started, on a Saturday and when I said to the person doing it that I was surprised to get an appointment on a Saturday, she said they were working Saturdays to try and catch up with the backlog.

I was just wondering how you are getting on and what your outcome was?
My ultrasound showed cysts on both ovaries and after CT and MRI scans I was put on a 6 month monitor. I was rescanned after 6 months and the 5.5cm cyst is still there and will be checked again in July. My CA125 was normal but my CA19.9 was raised. By December it was almost 2000 . I've had MRI of pancreas and a gastroscopy but nothing found. Wondering now if it could be related to ovarian cyst
Hi!
Ive just had my last blood test and results from histology ..
blood were 568 ca19.9 in feb. I had my overy and cyst and both tubes removed 7 weeks ago.
The histology report took a very long time due to the strange germ cells .. thorax as well as other random cells and whilst they don’t see it much it appears it’s totally benign.
3 weeks after surgery my levels went down to 111.. and as of Friday they are at 20.
I am happy and relieved and oddly guilty I’m ok .. go figure no I am very happy. I’m so sorry you’re going through it to.
I'm so happy you're ok and thank you for replying. I think I need to ask if my levels could be due to the cyst at my next appointment, even though thats not for a few months yet. My level dropped from 1860 to 650 after having fibroids removed so I'm hoping that it could be gynae related. I was referred to a specialist liver unit in January and still waiting for that appointment so feel in limbo, I first saw my GP last June!!!
