good morning to you all.
My mother was diagnosed with peritoneal and ovarian cancer towards the latter part of last year. She had three courses of carbotaxol then had a successful op. She’s having Avastin added after her next two chemos then ten Avastins over thirty weeks. Just wondering if anyone suffered any side effects and how they found the treatment?
Thank you x
Hi I started avastin during carbotaxol treatment, it didn’t suit me as I kept dropping my blood pressure so I had it introduced after my carbotaxol treatment. Whilst I was on the avastin things were okay and I didn’t have any more dizzy spells through low blood pressure Unfortunately after I finished my corse of avastin the cancer started to grow again but slowly at first . (that’s not to say it will for your mum . ) I managed to stay off chemo for over a year and started chemo again in September 2021 which appears to be working well. I’ll keep my fingers crossed and hope your mum does well and isn’t suffering to much on the carbotaxol regime .
