Hi, I've just been diagnosed with B cell Nodal marginal zone lymphoma, been put on watch and wait so not really sure what to do with myself, I don't feel well I have a lot of fatigue but just trying to come to terms with it all
Hi BigBearAlien and a warm welcome to this corner of the Community although I am always sorry to see folks joining us. I am Mike and I help out around our various Lymphoma groups.
I don’t have Nodal marginal zone lymphoma but I was diagnosed way back in 1999 at 43 with a rare, incurable but treatable type of T-Cell Low Grade NHL (CTCL) eventually reaching Stage 4a in late 2013 so although my Lymphoma ‘type’ is different I do appreciate the challenges of this journey rather well.
I was on Active Monitoring (Watch and Wait) for 14 years before my condition and general well-being developed to a point where I needed full on treatment……. what to do with yourself?….. you get on with life as best as you can, keep a daily diary to keep a record of your symptoms looking for any new symptoms or significant progression of your existing symptoms and call this into your clinical team when required but cancer-related fatigue can be challenging but there are suggestions in the link as to how to deal with this…… I was always told that the less I did the note pronounced the fatigue would get so try and keep a basic routine, try and walk regularly, but when your body says rest you rest.
