all these words have been thrown at me but even after 5 years I can't pretend to know what they mean. All I know is that it's sometimes an itch sometimes like sunburn. I have tried nearly every cream and ointment steroid and otherwise on the pharmacist's shelf. Anyway thanks for having me aboard and good wishes Leckie
Hi and welcome to this corner of the Community.
So I was diagnosed back n 1999 with Mycosis Fungoides as a Dermatologist will call it or CTCL as a Haematologist will call it...... they are both basically the same types of T-Cell Lymphoma.
Sézary syndrome is a rare high-grade skin lymphoma. It accounts for about 3 in every 100 cases of skin lymphoma. Sézary syndrome is similar to MF but it affects the blood as well as the skin.
So how were you diagnosed, what type of consultant are you under and what hospital?
Hi again.... so I just noticed you had put up your profile - very useful.
First, as you are with Guy’s you are in very safe hands and indeed the Guy’s team including Prof Whittaker advised on my treatment plans.
The treatments you are having are standard and are early first line treatments and indeed I was on these.
Hit my community name Thehighlander you can see my story but take a stiff drink.
