I was diagnosed with tonsil cancer in August 2018, after the tonsillectomy I had 12 days radiotherapy. From which I fully recovered to good health.
In September 2020 I was having aches and had a lump in my neck.
After an operation to remove a lymphnode in my neck in December I had another 12 days radiotherapy. Luckily it was the opposite side of the neck than the first time so I was able to have the radiotherapy twice. (If lucky is the right word!)
I was told this is a slow growing cancer , but is known to recur. The original prognosis was good. Not yet had the follow-up for this time.
Has anyone else had this type of cancer recur (or not) ? Would like some ideas how this type of cancer is likely to behave in future.
Many thanks

Hi Barb MM and welcome to our corner of the Community.
Low Grade (slow growing) Lymphomas do tend to be incurable but treatable. My type of low grade Skin Lymphoma was diagnosed back in 1999 and I have had years of various treatments (hit my name to see my story) and am in remission at the most moment.
There are over 60 types of Lymphoma - do know the ‘exact’ name of your type as this would help.
Many thanks Mike, I'll make sure I ask that question at next meeting.
