Hello,
Yesterday I had PET scan and awaiting appointment for biochemical testing to measure hormone levels. This is after a mass on my adrenal gland was detected following an unrelated ultrasound. More info on my profile.
Such an uncertain time waiting for results. Mind going into overdrive.
Would like to hear from anyone with experience of adrenal gland tumours…..Google isn’t the best!
Also, first time I have had a PET scan. How long is the norm for results?
Thanks
Ann
Hi Ann_G
Although I'm not a member of this group I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' your post back to the top of the discussion list where it'll be more easily spotted.
I typed 'adrenal gland tumours' into the group search bar and came up with these previous posts on this topic. You could have a read through the more recent ones and maybe contact the posters if you think they may be able to help you further.
As for how long it will take for the results from the PET scan to be available, your CNS should be able to advise you what the current wait time is for your area of the country.
