Hi everyone. I was diagnosed with MM in November 20 and going through stem cell mobilisation at the moment with harvesting starting on Thursday. How did you all deal with the pain? It started at 3:30am today and now the only time I can tolerate the pain is when standing.
Hi Bluebear,
I am really sorry to read about the pain you are in, pain during the stem cell transplantation process was excruciating at times for me so I am definitely feeling for you. I just kept taking regular over the counter pain relief and kept telling myself it was only temporary and actually a good sign as it meant I was producing a lot of stem cells. I think I was an in-patient once and they gave me a bit stronger pain medication for one night during the SCT as the cells were coming back in, and that definitely helped so please reach out to your medical team if it gets too much.
Hope everything goes well on Thursday
Greg
