  • Hi  and a warm welcome to the Online Community. I'm pleased to read that you're in remission but sorry to read your suffering issues with pain and back spasms.

I have a different type of cancer to you and haven't had chemotherapy so I'm sorry I can't answer your question. I just dropped in and noticed you've not yet had a reply to your post so I've tagged the Community Champion  of this group so I'm sure he'll be along soon to answer.

    Sending welcoming hugs, B x

  • Hi Active Lass,

Welcome to the forum, although I am really sorry to read what you are experiencing at the moment. The best advice I can give is to get in contact with your medical team and see if they have any ideas as to what the pain might be. I would be wary of reading too much into what you will find on the internet, there can be a lot of scary information out there which might not properly explain what you’re experiencing.

For what it is worth, I still get niggling discomfort where I had the collapsed vertebrae on diagnosis but it really does not bother me very much and I can still be as active as I’d like to be. I am confident you can achieve the same but it might just take a bit of time for your body to settle into an activity level it is happy with. If ever in doubt though, I would definitely talk to your medical team as they will know best about what your body should be capable of doing given your specific circumstances.

    Wishing you all the best
