Recently diagnosed with MCC after previously diagnosed with a cyst that was removed by GP sent away tested and came back as cancerous now been to 3 different hospitals main hospital is Christie I'm going there on the 5th August to see another dermatologist consultant as after having a CT scan with radioactive injection its beenconfirmed there is no spread

I’m Anne, one of the Community Champions here on the Online Community and, although I've had a couple of different types of skin cancer MCC isn't one of them.

Good news that surgery is imminent and also that there's no sign of spread.
I'm sure your hospital team will provide you with or advise what type of pain relief you're likely to need. When I had a melanoma removed, and then the follow-up wide local excision and sentinel lymph node biopsy, I found that taking paracetamol regularly kept on top of the pain.
