Hi all.
I've just had a diagnosis of invasive melanoma in my leg. Annoyingly I had my mole checked in April last year, and the doctor thought it still seemed benign. Went back 6 weeks ago because I noticed an enlarged lymph node in my groin. So awaiting results of CT scan. Feeling very scared. Just wanted to know if anyone has been through similar experience.x
Hi Regina58 and a very warm welcome to our corner of the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I was diagnosed with melanoma on my upper arm 10 years ago but didn't have an enlarged lymph node or a CT scan so can't share any experiences with that. I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list again.
While you're waiting for replies, it would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis, tests and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
Wishing you all the best
