Hello everyone. I have a stage 3 malignant melanoma on a lymph gland in my pelvic area .I started immunotherapy two weeks ago, a double dose. I have another next week, then surgery scheduled for early January.
I have a fair understanding, but not many fellow sufferers to contact as I live in France and my French, whilst adequate, sometimes deserts me!. Good spirits so far, but some questions. For example, I have a sore spot inside my nose, should I mention this?
Hi Thelma
I am going through immunitherapy at the moment. I got a bit of a rash after the first double dose. During the second dose I got really bad pulsing pains in my back so they had to stop and restart it but then it was all fine. I have had loose bowels 3 days after the 2nd treatment. I get night sweats a lot. Previous to this I had 2 operations but unfortunately the cancer spreading from the lymphnoids into my tissue. I have my next double dose next Tuesday.
Any issues I would definitely mention. I rang them when I got my rash and they brought me in to take photos of it and prescribed creams which help.
All the best
Thanks for your information. It is so useful to hear from others going through it. Sorry to hear about the complications. Good luck
