Hi everyone I'm new here and wondered if anyone else has experienced what I am.
So I've been diagnosed with stage 3 melenoma and have just started immunotherapy 24/10/2025. The next day I had severe pain in my left side jaw was sent to hospital given morphine and went home. Day after my face started swelling so had to go back they checked my bloods everything was fine so sent home again. Today the swellings so much bigger struggling to talk pains less but still there. The hospital just keep telling me there's not much they can do as I'm on immunotherapy and to be honest I don't want to keep spending hours there for nothing. So if someone has had any experience like this would appreciate knowing what you did etc
Thanks for taking the time to read
Everyone has different side effects I had severe collitis plus guilline barre syndrome which never got rid off even though treatment has stopped xx
That sounds painful. I’ve had several side effects from immunotherapy but not that one. Sorry if you’ve already done this but have you spoken directly to your oncology team? They should be able to do more than just say ‘there’s not much we can do’. Steroids seem to be the answer to a lot of side effects - they have certainly helped me a lot. Hope you feel better soon.
