Hi all

I have been now diagnosed with stage 3c

I have an oncology appointment this Wednesday

Anyone on here living with this type of cancer?

Just trying to get my head around it all...

  • I have it too. Stage 3B. Diagnosed with melanoma March 2024, followed by surgery and then 12 months of immunotherapy. Can’t say I know a lot about this specific cancer and I haven’t asked many questions - too much to take in. I’m still alive though Slight smile

    Good luck for Wednesday.

  • Thanks for replying

I've had 2 surgeries on my foot and 2 on my knee and groin. They said they think they have it all. Need to get Wednesday done then at least will have a plan going forward. Awaiting biopsy results, histology and scans. Keep positive Blush

  • I’m sorry to hear that you’re going through this, could I ask how it looked visually? How big / what the signs were for dermatology to biopsy?

  • Hi there. It was on the sole of my foot near the heel. I thought it was a blood blister caused by uncomfortable shoes and that it just hadn’t healed properly. I only went to the GP after seeing a chiropodist for something unrelated and he told me I should get it looked at asap. It was a black irregular shaped mark, about a cm I think from memory. GP referred me immediately.

The chiropodist literally saved my life. And I tell him so whenever I see him.
