Hi everyone, just wanted to introduce myself.
I've been diagnosed with Melanoma, the lesion was 1.5mm thickness and I have had a wider excision and a sentinel lymph node biopsy where they removed 3 lymph nodes. I have also had a CT scan.
These were carried out 3 weeks ago, will the consultant wait for the results from the biopsy and the CT scan before contacting me. I was told between 1 & 2 weeks so now I'm starting to worry.
Hi MAC5341441 and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I was also diagnosed with melanoma stage pT2a and had a WLE and SLNB. Once the results from these were back I had a face-to-face appointment with the surgeon who did these ops and he gave me my results.
It would be great if you could put something about your diagnosis and treatment into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
I hope you don't have too much longer to wait.
Anne
