Hi, back after nearly 5 years clear of 2b malignant melanoma. This might be TMI for some but I have a bleeding spot on my labia. I thought it might be a hair follicle or something but has been bleeding on and off for a week. I know the sensible thing to do but soooo scared!
Has anyone else experienced this???

  • Hi   sorry you have found yourself here, but I am glad you have reached out. There can be simple reasons why this is happening. I don’t know your age, but as our hormone levels drop, our “lady bits” start to change. Lack of estrogen in that area can cause vulgar atrophy, and the labia can become thin and tear, like very fine paper cuts. This does tend to bleed, and can be extremely sore. But yes, this needs checking out by your GP to make sure there is nothing sinister going on there. You can ask to see a female GP if it makes you feel uncomfortable.

  • I had some bleeding after a case of diarrhoea, I mentioned it at my hospital check up,  she looked and said all looked normal, the skin is much thinner and it split slightly.

please go to your GP and have it checked.  It is better knowing.
