Hi,

Has anyone had any incidental findings in head scan to do with blood vessels? They say there no metastatic melanoma identified. It has come up on scans before but not been mentioned before and its not on all scans , they are not to concerned at moment but my scans are now 3-6 months instead of every 6 months I'm on melanoma surveillance for stage 3a BRAF positive. I'm not worried at moment I Just wondered if anyone else has had this. Did 4 months of dabrafenib and trametinib.

  • Hi

That's great to read that there is no evidence that your melanoma has metastasised but it's understandable that you'd like to see if anyone else has had an incidental finding connected with blood vessels.

I haven't had this but noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list again.

    All the best

  • Hi.

I’m stage 4 metastatic melanoma (skin, ovary, mesenteric layer, gall bladder, neck lymph node). I had an MRI to check my brain and they found an aneurysm!  I’ve had 1 treatment of nivolumab + ipilimumab which ended up with a 3 night hospital stay due to a temp of 40 and then delays to next treatment if 2 weeks (so far) cos of a rash and the steroids needed to contain it. To be honest, I’ve pushed the aneurysm to the back of my mind (no pun intended!) and will deal with it when I’m better - which I am determined to be!

The way I see it… I would never have known about the aneurysm if it hadn’t been for the melanoma so there’s no point stressing over it.

the delays in treatment are very frustrating, but I already feel much better than I did.

I hope you’re winning this fight too!
