I have been diagnosed with lentigo maligna melanoma. Stage 1 a. I have had an excision biopsy and a wide local excision. I am waiting on biopsy results from this. I don't know how to feel . I am relieved that it's treatable with surgery alone . Anxious about results. Anxious about re occurrence. It's all a bit of a head melt . Should I now just assume I am better
Hi Wenders54
I replied to you a few days ago when you were worried about how you were feeling physically. Did you have a chat with your SCNS?
Worrying about a recurrence is perfectly normal but hopefully, with time, it will become less of a worry for you. It's important that you contact your SCNS if you notice any changes to your skin and also to practice being "safe in the sun". This doesn't mean that you have to stop doing things you used to enjoy, unless that was using sunbeds or sunbathing, but just following these recommendations:

Hi I have emailed my nurse specialist 3 times and phoned and left messages. She is impossible to get . Gp knows nothing . It's very isolating
That's not good that your SCNS doesn't return your messages Wenders54 .
Can I suggest you contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) at the hospital where you are being treated. Part of their job is help resolve problems when you're using the NHS. Hopefully they'll be able to get the SCNS to return your calls.
((hugs))
