Hi, I was diagnosed on Oct 24th after having a lesion removed on Oct 1st on my left thigh. No professional thought it was anything to worry about.
The nodular melanoma was 6.4mm pT4B making me stage 2C.
My CT scan has thrown up something in my left groin lymph node though after a FNA I got the all clear however I am due this week to have a core ultrasound biopsy to check again. Also consultant did feel a slight raised lymph node in groin.
It just feels like a constant agonising wait & with Christmas coming not sure if results will be delayed. As if any melanoma found in lymph node then it’s a game changer!
I write this because partly I don’t know if I am being too melodramatic or maybe really for someone to say it will be ok. I do worry about the thickness of the melanoma.
Thankyou for reading
Sounds very similar to my story. Spindle cell melanoma diagnosed in October after biopsy 6.2mm which I'm told is deep. WLE and SNLB due in Jan followed by year of Immunotherapy. I had this removed 2 years ago was misdiagnosed as benign giving it chance to grow. My oncologist is a angry at this. PET scan was clear and I having MRI on Friday. Feel scared for the future but hoping for the best. Best wishes to you. Keep us posted x
