Hi all, I am Tammy. I had surgery two weeks ago, awaiting results....feels like an endless wait!. How is everyone doing? Xx

  • Hi Tammy I had mine 2 weeks ago, going to district nurses tomorrow to have my stitches out.I was supposed to have my sentinel nodes removed as well but they then did them by local anaesthetic.Got to go back next week for ultrasound.Hope alls well for you.I seem to have a lump in the middle of my WLE now

    • Hi Steve, good luck for tomorrow and with your ultrasound. I had to go last week for dressings to be changed, stitches coming out on Wednesday. Hopefully the lump in WLE will be a collection of flud or maybe just swelling. Have they given you any idea how long you will be waiting for results? Try and stay positive, best of luck xx
  • Hi Tammy, I am due to have both of these procedures in the middle of January. How did you find them. I have a 1b melanoma that was removed from the bottom of my foot

  • Hi Potte, surgery went really well. I was a bit sore for a few days but not in any pain (I had two on the right thigh). The worst thing about it all was waiting for results. Three biopsies were taken including the lymph node. It was seven weeks wait for me. Thankfully my lymph node and the original melonoma site both came back negative,  just awaiting one more result for a tiny mole close to the original site. I understand how anxious you must be feeling, the brain decides to work overtime with all the waiting. I m sure you will be fine....I will be keeping everything crossed for you that it's good news with your results too. Best of luck with everything, try to stay positive, and please keep me updated with how you are getting on. Take care xxxx

  • Thanks Tammy, glad your surgery went well and everything crossed for your outstanding result. Please let me know the outcome. Trying hard to keep busy, not too difficult at the moment with Xmas so close but will certainly keep you updated. Thank you so much for coming back to me

  • You are very welcome, always here if you need to talk. Keeping busy is good, it's an emotional roller coaster....I found myself constantly trying to be positive and happy around my loved ones because you don't want them to worry....inside I would be screaming! Worrying doesn't change anything though does it? I'm sending lots of positive energy your way. Have a wonderful Christmas and best of luck xx
